He was predeceased by: his wife Donna June Smith; his daughter Barbara; his siblings, Richard, Howard Gompf and Eileen Gompf; and his close friend Beverly Foltz.
He is survived by: his children, Gene Gompf (LeAnne) of Cardington and Julie Flickinger (David) of Cortland; his brother Harold Gompf of Mt. Gilead; his sister-in-law Harriet Gompf; his grandchildren, Michalene Gompf, Brittany Levering, Gregory Gompf (Morgan), Geoffrey Gompf (Whitney) of Cardington, Leslie Huber (Tyler) of Zanesville, Mindy Vanes (Dan) of Pensacola, Florida, Lisa Glass (Tim) of Medina and Jennifer Ryan (Tyler); and his close friend Betty Newcomer. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Aladdin Shrine Temple Children's Hospital Fund, 1801 Gateway Circle, Grove City, Ohio 43123, or the Cardington Community Methodist Church, 300 S Marion St, Cardington, OH 43315 in honor of Bob's lifelong dedication to service and community.
