He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe Walls "Bump" and Ruth Isabell Dotson (Montague); his wife Ann Dotson; his grandson Daniel Dotson; his brothers, Lt. William A. Dotson and Edwin G. Dotson; and his sister-in-law Shirley Dotson Caudill.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Dotson (Tammy), Julie Crall, David Dotson (Paula) and Michael Dotson (Angie Simonetti); his grandchildren, Hope Dotson, Jeremy Crall (Beth), Aaron Crall (Ashley), Todd Crall (Kenzie), Heather Green (Tyler), Matt Dotson, Ellen Haldeman (Tyler), Emily Dotson (Matt Dietrich), Trent Dotson (Lauren), Taylor Rogers (Jacob) and Zachary Dotson; and his sister-in-law Pat Dotson. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
