He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Steinmetz and Mary Steinmetz (Tinlin); his wife Ruth Steinmetz; his daughter Carrie Steinmetz; and his sister Evelyn Franks.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy Bennett (James), Laurie Stephens (Teddy), Cindy Shuman (Chuck), Connie Cheuvront and Cathy Steinmetz; and his sisters, Jeanette Mehalik and Vi Williamson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
