It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve James Cowles of Carrollton, Ohio, who passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Steve departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Steve. Though Steve may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cowles and Louise Beggs; and his brother John Cowles. He is survived by: his daughters, Stevi Cowles (Ray Welch) and Brandi Evans (Keith); his siblings, Debbie Carnahan (Lynn) and David Cowles; and his nephews, Sam Carnahan and Jake Carnahan (Jake). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, other loving family members and friends.
