He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Joseph and Effie Jordan; his parents, Ernest Friend and Leota Friend (Jordan); and his siblings, Joseph Friend, Harry Lewis, Norma Switzer, Shirley Collins and Marilyn Lewis.
He is survived by : his wife Rhoda J. Friend (Robison); his children, John Friend (Melissa), Deborah Cooksey (Kenneth), Michael Friend (Denise) and Stephen Friend (Melissa); his grandchildren, Jordan, Justin, Heather, Stefanie, Brittany, Noah, Conner, Sydney, Benjamin, Elia, Megan, Braxton and Kennedy; his great grandchildren, Serena, Alaric, Katarina, Brooklyn, Zoey, David, Addison, Stephen and Elena; his siblings, Larry Lewis and Lorraine Davis (Susie); and his close friend Fred Hughes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
