With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Hurst (Castalia, Ohio), who passed away on December 10, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As James departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James leaves behind.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service (610 S Washington St, Castalia, OH 44824). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Angels Catholic Church (428 Tiffin Ave, Sandusky, OH 44870).
