He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Denille Toccaceli (Shane) and David Howard; his grandchildren, Jesslyn Jenkins, Kaden Folk, Kevin Howard and Gabriella Toccaceli; his siblings, Linda Smith (Bob), Raul Veliz Jr. (Cindy), Joe Veliz, Jimmy Veliz and Victor Veliz; his wife Terri Nicholson-Veliz; his parents, Mary Veliz (Avila) and Raul Veliz Sr.; his sister Rosemary Veliz; his sister-in-law Tammy Veliz; and his grandparents, Jose, Teresa Avila (Estein), Manuel and Guadalupe Veliz (Gomez). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jesse Veliz to the Margaretta, Perkins, or Norwalk Athletic Booster Clubs—organizations that reflect his lifelong love for local sports and supporting student athletes.
