We are sad to announce that on February 20, 2023, at the age of 64, Douglas E. Thierwechter of Catawba Island, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, David E. Thierwechter and Jeanne M. Thierwechter (McLaughlin). He is survived by : his siblings, Martha Guehl, Janet Mowry and Michael Thierwechter. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.

“I am so sorry to hear of Doug's passing. When we were 5 years old Doug and I were great friends. We would hide in his Dad's Model T and pretend we were driving it. We would go upstairs in the garage/barn open the door and think we were going to jump out. (We never jumped). Doug would come over to my grandparents (Charles and Harriet Fought) house where we lived and we would play games. We walked to school together. Lost touch but I remember him fondly.
