He is survived by : his wife Rita Birt (Schell); his children, Larry Birt of Celina, Beverly (Joe Sutter), Deborah (Bruce Campbell), Vickie Hottes (David Conn) and Sandy (Steve Sutter); his grandchildren, Jason Sutter, Amy Moody, Amanda Moffitt, David Bruns, Shawn Sutter, Jennifer Tuggle, Travis Salway, Billie Jo Hiles and April Braun; his sister Myra Weddle of Rockford; and his sister-in-law Doris Birt of St. Henry.
