He was predeceased by: his spouse Beryl "Sam" Locke; his son Scott May; and his siblings, Warren Tarney and Mary Jane Tarney. He is survived by: his children, Lynne Nighswander (Dan) of Celina and Kim Stone (Paul) of Avon Park, Florida.; his granddaughters, Emily Nighswander of Celina, Betsy Hughley (Ryan) of Indianapolis and Holly Todish (J. R.) of Cambridge City; and his brother Jerry Songer of Naples, Florida.. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
