He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Reed and Gladys Lucille Reed (Howick); his wife Patricia Houchins; his sister-in-law Nancy Reed; and his brother Fredric May.
He is survived by: his son James Joseph Reed II (Debbie) of Rockford; his granddaughter Kyla Reed of Omaha, NE; his great grandchild Cayde Graham of Omaha, NE.; and his siblings, Susan Reed of Celina, Nick Reed of Lake Placid, FL and Richard Schoonover (Linda) of Celina.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the North Grove Cemetery (1205 N Main St, Celina, OH 45822).
