He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smith and Freda Smith (Regedanz); his wife Carolyn Sue Smith (Adams); his son Doug Smith; and his sister Margaret Fahncke (Paul).
He is survived by: his sons, Clinton Smith, Daniel Smith (Lisa) and Andrew J. Smith (Holly); his daughter-in-law Jennifer Smith; his grandchildren, Dalton, Logan, Payton, Carly, Richard, Roland and Brooke; and his brother Don Smith (Marilyn).
Memorial contributions can be made in John's name to St. John Lutheran Church, Hopewell Township.
