He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Hettesheimer and Selma Hettesheimer (Thomas); his daughter Ruth Ann Toler; and his siblings, Howard, Weldon, Paul, David Hettesheimer and Elizabeth Hillard.
He is survived by: his wife Hannelor "Lore" Hettesheimer (Bendig); and his children, Irene Shaffer (Brent Strohl) of Celina, Nancy Waesch (Mark) of Celina, Marc Hettesheimer Jr. of Delphos, Edmund Hettesheimer (Leisa) of Celina and Terry Engelman (Lee) of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Cisco Funeral Home (6921 State Rte 703, Celina, OH 45822). A burial was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Mercer Memory Gardens (Celina, OH 45822).
