He was predeceased by: his father John Monnin; and his wife Peggy M. Donovan. He is survived by: his children, Dondi Monnin (Tracie) of New Bremen, Shawn Monnin (Annalucia) of San Diego, Wendy Busch of Dayton, Chad Michael Monnin of Florida and Tami Smith of St. Marys; and his siblings, Fred Monnin (Jackie) of Troy, Tom Monnin (Karola) of Versailles, Mary Poor (Gary) of Versailles, Peg Bundy (Dale) of Covington, Tess Coombs (Allen) of Greenville, Bev Mabbitt (Larry) of Russia and Barb Meyer (Keith) of Russia. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
