He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Hemmelgarn and Mary Hemmelgarn (Jansen); his brothers, Jerry, Tom, Jim and Jack Hemmelgarn; his siblings-in-law, Mark Corotis, Mike Houseworth and Shelly Hemmelgarn; and his in-laws, Margaret and Stan Houseworth.
He is survived by: his spouse Marty Hemmelgarn (Houseworth); his daughters, Megan Hemmelgarn (Adam Nagy) of Celina, Molly Shreffler (Aaron) of Celina and Mikki Raxlin (Ben) of Los Angeles, California; his grandchildren, Lilly, Luke and Rose; his siblings, Mike Hemmelgarn (Jan) of Celina, Peggy Corotis of Hilliard and Sam Hemmelgarn (Terri Miller) of Dayton; and his in-laws, Barb Hemmelgarn of Baltimore, Vickie Hemmelgarn of Celina, Carol Hemmelgarn of Celina, Nancy Hemmelgarn of Celina, Pat Houseworth (Patricia) of Celina and Kelly Madsen (Michael) of Naples, FL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Cisco Funeral Home (6921 State Rte 703, Celina, OH 45822). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 2:45 PM at the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
