He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Elking and Anna Elking Miller (Leugers); his sons, David Elking (Heather) of Celina and Michael Edward Elking; his siblings, Clara Adams (Rolland "Pete"), George "Cookie" Elking and Donald Elking (Clara); his daughter-in-law Danielle M. Elking; and his brother-in-law James Robert Darnell.
He is survived by: his children, Elaine Elking of St. Marys, Kenneth Elking of Celina and Carol Walter (Terry) of Celina; his grandchildren, Melissa, Nicholas, Christopher, Clay, Stephanie, Cortland, Cali, Dylan and Morgan; his great grandchildren, Mahalie, Maddox, Makinsley, Connor, Lucy Lou and Millie Mae; and his sisters-in-law, Antoinette Shema (Douglas) of Celina and Catherine Darnell of Cincinnati.
