He was predeceased by: his parents, Gale Hertel and Audrey Hertel (Saam); and his sister Janice Hoelscher (Jerry). He is survived by: his spouse Jan Hertel (Bertke); his children, Ryan Hertel (Brittany Teodorski), Lisa Vondrell (Jeff), Celina and Todd (Grace Rea); his brother Larry Hertel (JeAnne); his nieces, Katie and Marie; and his grandchildren, Evan, Owen, Mason and Ellie.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the donor's favorite charity.
