Ruth E. Rhodes Obituary
The memory of Ruth E. Rhodes of Celina, Ohio, who passed away on June 12, 2025 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Ellis and Lucy Ellis (West); her husband James E. Rhodes; her siblings, Ray Ellis (Dorothy), Walter "Bud" Ellis, Rex Ellis (Dorothy), Roger Ellis (Dorothy) and Phyllis Maier (Robert); her son-in-law Bill Chittenden; and her grandson Ronnie Schwieterman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vickie Sutter (John) of Celina, Susan Downey (Jerry) of Celina, Deborah Chittenden of Naples and Stacy Schwieterman (Joe) of Celina; her grandchildren, Josh, Jake, Chris, Matt, Tony, Bryan and Joelle; and her great grandchildren, Zander, Tyler, Christian, Preston, Natalie and Mackenzie.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. A Mass will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Calendar Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (229 W Anthony St, Celina, OH 45822).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund, benefiting the continued mission of the church Ruth so dearly loved.
