She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur N. Bates and Leoda L. Bates (Lake); her husband Edward Tobin; her siblings, Bonnie Sipe, Arthur R. "Randy" Bates and Shermon L. Bates; her sons-in-law, Larry D. Haffey and Thomas A. Mallory; and her grandson Isaac T. Mallory.
She is survived by: her children, David Swygart (Jean) of North Carolina, Pam Haffey of Celina, Randy Swygart of Mendon, Susan Roehm (Jeff) of Willshire and Tara Mallory of Akron. She is also survived by several stepchildren, along with many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
