She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Reyes and Angelita Helen Rodriguez (Garcia); her daughter Mercedes E. Ballard; her siblings, Ynosencio Rodriguez (Ernie) and Simon Rodriguez; and her siblings-in-law, Alberto Cervantes, Maria "Helen" Rodriguez and Ignacia "Nacha" Rodriguez.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kelly M. Lyme of Celina and Erin E. Taylor of Greensboro; and her siblings, Tolentino Rodriguez, Juan (Hgech), Robert (Esponneza), Aurora Garza (Robert) and Vanessa Wallace. She is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
