He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard and Charlotte; his brother Dane; and his nephew Victor (Hatch). He is survived by: his siblings, Shane and Wendy Carney-Hatch (Heather Walker); and his niece Emily Carney. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was able to donate his corneas, so two people will have the gift of sight from his donation.
