Carolou left this world on February 27, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ledford Smith and Sue Smith (Brown); her sister Charlene Hall-Bonslett; and her close friend Rita Hurst. She is survived by: her sons, Max H. Skeans (Leslie) and Mark T. Skeans (Jeanne); her sister Jackie Potosky; and her friend Shahla Mehdizadeh. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dayton Opera Guild in memory of Carolou.
