He was predeceased by: his parents, E. C. Davidson (Juanita Trammell) and Daryl; his stepparents, Frank Gist and Mattie Gist; and his sister-in-law Crystal Gist.
He is survived by: his children, Monte Gist, Tammy Gist and Michael Day; and his siblings, Tony Gist, Eric Gist, Gerald Gist and Twilla Byrd. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and a host of cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
