He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Lewis and Jean Lewis; and his sister Sharlene. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his daughters, Natalie Chillinsky (Scott) of Columbus and Kelli Kerkhoff (John) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Graham, Reid, Eleanor, David, Samuel and Jane; his stepfather Ray Young; and his sister Vicki.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Ohio's Hospice (https://www.ohioshospice.org) of Dayton whose compassion offered peace and comfort in Joel's final days.
