She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Schaefer and Dorcas Schaefer (Poling); her husband James Flanders; her sisters, Kathleen Ward and Charlene Ball; her siblings-in-law, Audrey Eichelberger, Gloria Welton and Elwood Welton; her son-in-law Richard Burton; her granddaughter Michelle Kloda (Banford); and her great grandchild Joshua MacNichol.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Burton, James Flanders (Paula), John Flanders, Thomas Flanders (Katherine), David Flanders (Susan) and Cynthia Hopf. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a growing number of great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Leonard Chapel (8100 Clyo Rd, Centerville, OH 45458). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
