The family announces the passing of Sally Jean (Akos) Martin of Centerville, Ohio on October 13, 2026. Sally, born on August 29, 1943, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Akos and Esther Akos (Lubbers); her son Matthew; and her sisters, Joann and Mary Beth.
She is survived by: her husband John "Skip" Martin; her son Scott (Suzanne) of Woodbury; her grandchildren, Haley and Patrick; her son Paul (Kelly) of San Jose; her grandsons, Matthew and Jayson; her son Joe of Houston; her grandchildren, Joey and Blake; her son Jim of Sammamish; her grandsons, Derek and Alex; her great grandchildren, Max, Maddie and Zoe; and her sisters, Kathleen Brooks and Sharon Hennig. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Westbrock & Daniel Funeral Home- Kettering (5980 Bigger Rd, Kettering, OH 45440). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Incarnation Church (55 Williamsburg Ln, Dayton, OH 45459).
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Sally's memory may make memorial contributions to Ohio Hospice of Dayton (https://www.ohioshospice.org) or Our Lady of Light, Incarnation Campus.
