She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvin B. Edwards and Agnes D. Edwards (Ahearn); and her husband David Albert Oertel. She is survived by: her children, Carrie Sue Busby (Oertel) and Mark David Oertel; her grandchildren, Matthew Oertel, Rory Busby and Suzanne Busby; her sister Nancy Sarah Edwards-Dasho (Stefan); and her brother-in-law Roger Oertel (Rita).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to express sympathy consider a donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Sue's name.
