As David departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Dana (Smythe); his siblings, Ellen Whelan (Bill), Tom (Diane) and John (Cindy); his siblings-in-law, Chris Smythe (Suzanne) and Alison Smythe; and his parents, Betty Hollister and Jack Hollister.
In lieu of flowers, David would want donations to be sent to Sean M. Healey & AMG Center for ALS at Mass General Hospital or to Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio.
