We announce the death of Diane J Scharnhorst (Chagrin Falls, Ohio), who passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 92. Diane will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Don Scharnhorst; and her parents, Al Russell and Sally Russell (Vaudeville). She is survived by: her children, David Lastoria (Philly), Danny Lastoria, Denise DeLauro (C. J.) and Darlene Lastoria; her grandchildren, Nicole Butler (Alex), Brandon Chamberlin (Meghan), Brittani Shipek (Tommy), Daniel Lastoria (Erica), Mallory DeLauro, Grace DeLauro (Josiah Kenniv) and Eve DeLauro; her great grandchildren, Alaina, Brody, Skyler, Addy, Daylen, Trace, Neve and Desmond; and her sister Karen Willes.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in memory of Diane to The Cleveland Animal Protective League, 1729 Willey Ave #1, Cleveland, OH 44113.
