She was predeceased by : her husband Emil Dubnicka; her parents, John Sima and Ann Sima; and her brother John "Jack" Sima. She is survived by : her children, Doris Ann McDermott (Richard), Emil James, Thomas (Joan), Robert (Sandy) and Daniel (Maria); and her brother Lawrence "Larry" Sima (Sandy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Doris' name to the American Heart Association.
