He was predeceased by : his parents, William Lee Houston and Edith Carraker. He is survived by : his wife Jean; his children, Pamela Jean Houston Draper (Arthur), Loren Walter Houston, Jr. (Jenny), Charles Houston (Jim) and Richard Houston (Christine); his grandchildren, Christopher Draper, Andrew Draper (Alyssa), Elizabeth Draper Houser (Alex), Avery Houston, Drew Houston and Loren Walter Houston, III; and his great grandchildren, Emma Jean Houser and Leela Maeve Houston.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of choice or plant a tree from the funeral home website.
