He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Helfenbein and Fruma Helfenbein; his wife Geraldine; and his daughter Diane Axel (Michael). He is survived by : his child Laurie Levin (Stephen); his grandchildren, Emily Hartman (Nathaniel) and Matthew Axel; his great grandchildren, Juniper Hartman and Arlo Hartman; and his close friend Marcia Bachman.
