He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Brasfield (Magee) and Herman Brasfield; his grandmothers, E. E. Brasfield of McComb, MS and G. Wood Magee of Monticello, MS.; and his daughter Sally Brasfield Simmons.
He is survived by: his daughter Julia Wood Brasfield; his grandsons, Tyler Webb Simmons and Connor Philip Simmons; and his pets, Letta and Lucy.
