She was predeceased by: her husband Fredrick E. Martens; her siblings, Margaret Wickes, Charles Shaw, Jack Shaw and Dick Shaw; and her parents, Stella Robinson Shaw and Benjamin Nathaniel Shaw.
She is survived by: her children, Julia Lipp (Stuart) of Chagrin Falls, Christopher (late Kathryn) of Westlake and Robert (Holley Fowler) of Cleveland; and her grandchildren, Kelsey Lipp, Katherine Lipp, Alycia Martens (Mason Zupan), Charles Martens (Ka'ua), Peter Martens, Amelia Martens, Claire Martens and Ella Martens.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home (95 S Franklin St, Chagrin Falls, OH 44022). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joan of Arc Church (496 E Washington St, Chagrin Falls, OH 44022).
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in memory of Sue to the Chagrin History Center, 87 E.
