He is survived by: his wife Diana; his children, Ryan Battles (Joy Pascua), Corey Battles (Dana) and Ashley Nyman (Kyle); his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Lucas, Zoey, Lillian, Olivia and Sophia; his siblings, Cheryl Greene (Steve), Stephen Battles (Eileen), Tracy Layne (Crystal) and Eugene Layne (Anne); his mother-in-law Dolores Hietanen; and his siblings-in-law, Paula Hietanen, Murray Hietanen (Sherill Kiely) and Dave Hietanen (Janet). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
