With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Clinton Gilbert of Chardon, Ohio, who passed away on July 12, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Gilbert and Anna Gilbert; his birth parents, Howard McCauley and Hazel Taylor; and his siblings, Robert Leonard, Ruth O'Brien (Barry) and Zorina.
He is survived by: his wife Lori Anne Gilbert; his son William Gilbert (Stacia); his nephew Chip VanOver; his grandchildren, Ryley Gilbert (Mac) and Hannah Gilbert; and his siblings, Larry, Stanley Taylor of Elkins, WV, Paul McCauley (Donna), Randy McCauley (Lisa) of Cravensdale, WV, Kevin McCauley of Elkins, WV, Nancy Draa (Paul) of Warren, OH and Nora Lambert (Bobby) of Millcreek, WV. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chardon Baptist Church (363 Wilson Mills Rd, Chardon, OH 44024).
