She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Rutter and Myrtle Nutt Rutter; her husband Clarence Spears; her grandson Jeffrey Willard; her siblings, Ted, Jerry Rutter, Kathy Dennis and Ellen Barnes; her parents-in-law, Mahlon and Ada Spears; her siblings-in-law, Mahlon "Babe" Spears and Mary Rutter; her niece Cassandra Ann Spears; and her close friend Edith Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Billy Joe Spears, Charles Spears (Megan), Jonathan Spears (Penny), Harold Peters, Alvira Tyler (Lonnie), Amanda Spears, Ellen Spears (Michael) and Carol Douglas; her siblings, Joe, Ace Rutter, Nancy Cupp, Mary Rutter and Gloria Addicott; and her brother-in-law Terry Barnes. She is also survived by daughter; 20 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Morrison Funeral Chapel to assist with the purchase of a headstone.
