He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Ferris and Eva Hesson Ferris; his wife Melva G. Ferris; his sons, Richard Ferris and Bernard Ferris Jr.; and his siblings, Millard Ferris and Jo Ann Kessick.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Wallace of Chesapeake, OH, Joe Ferris (Missy) of Barboursville, WV, Teresa Ross (Wayne) of Chesapeake, OH and Carolyn Sayre (Bill) of South Point, OH. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hall Funeral Home & Crematory (625 OH-775, Proctorville, OH 45669). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at the Centenary Cemetery.
