It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman Darrell Newman of Chesapeake, Ohio, who passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Herman Darrell farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Herman Darrell is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Granville Newman and Mary Pemberton Newman; and his half-brothers, Jackie Newman and John Lawson. He is survived by: his wife Anna Newman; his sons, John Newman of Chesapeake, OH and Michael Newman (Tiffany) of Coal Grove, OH; and his grandchildren, Olivia and Bryson Newman.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hall Funeral Home & Crematory (625 OH-775, Proctorville, OH 45669). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
