She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobart Jones and Edith Murdock Jones; her husband Bernard "Red" Heffner; her daughter Kathy Brandenburg; and her sisters, Josephine "Jo" Cregut and Mary "Sis" Dunford.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberlin Houston of Kenova, Rhonda Thomas of Chesapeake and Tina Jordan (David) of Chesapeake, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Brandenburg, Shannon Brandenburg, Nicholas Houston, Jared Thomas, Courtney McLendon (Tony), Brittany Watson (Ben), Carrie Kimball and Bethany Whitley (Nick). She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
