He was predeceased by : his father Okey Harold Schartiger, Sr.. He is survived by : his wife Karen Sue Wise Schartiger; his children, Amber Yvonne Schartiger and Derek Andrew Watkins; and his grandchildren, Patrick Watkins, Megan Little and Andrew Watkins. He is also survived by several brothers and sister, numerous nieces and nephews.

The family asked that in lieu of flowers to give donations to Birchfield funeral Home, P. O. Box 188, Rutland, OH 45775, to help with Okey's expenses.
