It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gayann Clay of Chester, Ohio, who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldon Gaul and Evelyn "Gay" Ebersbach Gaul; her husband Ronald; and her brothers, Richard "Dick" Gaul and James Eldon Gaul.
She is survived by: her children, Todd Clay (Andrea) and Suzanne Durst (Bryan); her granddaughters, Lizzie, Erin Clay, Ally and Juli Durst; her siblings-in-law, Ruth Ann and Kenneth DeLong; and her caregivers, Caralyn Barton and Tammy Mckenzie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ewing Funeral Home (106 Mulberry Ave, Pomeroy, OH 45769). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Chester United Methodist Church, c/o Brandon Buckley, 43375 Pomeroy Pike, Pomeroy, Ohio 45769.
