He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Taylor and Ada Shell Taylor; his wife Phyllis Taylor; his son James "Jim" Taylor; and his great grandchild Colton Dille.

He is survived by: his children, Jerry Taylor (DaNielle) of Zanesville, Joe Taylor (Cozra) of Port Orange, FL, Jill Gillespie (Mike Mayle) of Chesterhill and Jean Dille (Curt) of Stockport; and his grandchildren, Curtis "Buster" Dille (Jenny) of Stockport, Jeff Dille of Stockport, Tammy Besser (Glen) of Zanesville, Amy Junn (Trent) of Stockport, Christopher Dille of Stockport, Eric Taylor (Mallory) of Zanesville, Sheldon Gillespie (Courtney) of Malta, Joanna Dille (Scott) of Stockport, Adam Taylor (LaDonna) of Kentucky, Shane Taylor (Audrey) of Kentucky and Sheridan Gillespie (Jenna) of Malta. He is also survived by 26 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
