He was predeceased by: his parents, Stefi Smolic (Skubic) and Joseph Smolic; and his brother Joseph Smolic. He is survived by: his wife Margo Estelle Mavrikis; his children, Melissa C. Thompson (Connon) of Salem and Jason A. Chilcoat of Dallas, Texas; and his grandchildren, Vanessa, Alexander, Genevieve, Connon Jr., Liam and Paige.
