She is survived by: her children, John Barta (Caroline), Robert Barta (Brittany) and Catherine Barta; her grandchildren, Logan, Jack, Grant, Olivia and Henry; her husband Robert Barta; and her siblings, Joann Silvestro (Dino), Carol Nemeth, Joseph Lose, Cathy Canzona (Carmen), Patricia Barbieri, Deborah Lose and Timothy Lose. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of longtime friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mary's memory to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, an organization that provides books to children.
