He was predeceased by: his son Richard W. Jr.; his parents, Winfield and Freda; and his siblings, Otto Bartholma, Dorothy Sharillo (late Eugene) and Ruth Drapach (late Stephen).
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Dawn Ross (Terry) and James (Laurie); his great grandchildren, Natalie, Matthew, Liam Conway, Finn, Sawyer Kalifoot, Ziggy, Barrett Deacon, Brantley, Keegan, Georgie Deacon, Kyra and Zain Pierson; his brother Robert (Gerrie); and his brother-in-law Jay Newman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the DeJohn Funeral Home and Celebrations Center (12811 Chillicothe Rd, Chesterland, OH 44026). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
