He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Ensign and Esther Ensign; his wife Norine Ensign; and his sister Phyllis Valentine (Orrin). He is survived by: his daughters, Linda J. Ensign (Lanny Stone), Victoria L. Kuhn (Richard) and Janice L. Ensign; his grandchildren, Jennifer E. Desrosiers (Adam), Richard J. Kuhn (Brittaney Lanese) and Tina M. Theunnissen (Don); and his great grandchildren, Julian, Levi, Donny, Jenny, Caitlyn, Jackie and Brittany. He is also survived by 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home (6330 Center St, Mentor, OH 44060). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Western Reserve Memorial Gardens (11521 Chillicothe Rd, Chesterland, OH 44026).
