He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. Weiler and Elsie C. Weiler (Mosery); and his brothers, Robert, Thomas and Steven Weiler.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen A. Gray of Chesterville; his children, Douglas Weiler (Rachel) of Apple Valley, Dianne Whisler (Jeffrey) of Candlewood Lake, Lori Novak (Matthew) of Medina and Chad Weiler (Edie) of Chesterville; his grandchildren, Douglas Jr. (Amber), Devon, Vincent, Spenser (Jordan), Mitchell (Aubrey), Jacob, Zackary, Sophia, Brett, Sydney, Abigail and Nathan; his great grandchildren, Grant, Cal, Logan and Khaylyn; and his brother Michael Weiler (Pam) of Ontario.
