With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Cathryn Knapke of Chickasaw, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Cathryn left this world on August 29, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank May and Cecilia May (Voskuhl); her husband Roger J. Knapke; her brothers, Lewis, Urban, Wilber and Arthur May; and her siblings-in-law, Angela Prenger (Norbert), Floriana Fleck (Walter), Eileen Fleck (John) and Gilbert Knapke (Judy).
She is survived by: her daughters, Marlene Abels (Mark) of Coldwater and Dorothy Perry (Douglas) of Hernando, Florida; her grandsons, Brian Abels (Alanna), Kevin Abels (Madeleine) and Austin Abels (Erin); her great grandchildren, Gerard, Hugh, Martin, Clara, George, Eve, Avery and Maverick; her sister Alma Broerman (Fred) of Versailles; and her sisters-in-law, Alma May of Frenchtown and Gloria May of Dayton.
