She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Payne and Cordelia Keller Payne; and her siblings, Betty Azbelle, June Sanford, Shirley Judd, Sharon Trimble, Richard Payne and Don Payne.
She is survived by: her children, Kenny A. Wheeler Jr. (Cheryl) of Londonderry, Tonia Elam (Ryan) of Chillicothe and Shawn Wheeler (Michelle Fairrow) of Chillicothe; her grandchildren, Jordan Wheeler (Stephanie), Ashley Birchfield (Zachary), Devin Wheeler, Camron Holt, Shawn Isaac Wheeler (Nicole Beard), Kennedy Wheeler (Justin Davis), Reece Wheeler, Carissa Wheeler and Ryan Wheeler; her great grandchildren, Alaina Henry, Julius Collins, Payge Birchfield, Zachary Birchfield, Jr., Caeden Wheeler, Izabella Wheeler, Montanna Holt, Madelyn Brown, Annistyn Wheeler, Acyn Wheeler and Jaxon McNish; and her brother James Payne of Chillicothe. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ware Funeral Home (121 W 2nd St, Chillicothe, OH 45601). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
